A VISIT TO MALINDI MARINE NATIONAL PARK AND RESERVE


This is one of the oldest park in Africa. The park is located south of Malindi town.It is surrounded by a national reserve and a 100ft strip of coastal land starting from Vasco-da-Gama pillar all the way to Watamu where there is also another marine park. It is estimated that the reserve extends 3.5 nautical miles to seaward beyond which It's still Kenyan territorial waters and related Kenyan laws apply .
Blue sky, white sand beach, fresh air , seafood and ocean wave sounds are the nature gifts  that entertain at this stunning destination.
The park is endowed with fascinating marine resources such as:
 Corals that provide breeding ground for many species of fish.
 Sea grass which act as hiding area for small fish from predators and also food provision as well.
The park is enriched with high fish diversity.

The endangered Sea Turtles are available as well
Waterfowls (the shorebirds) flying on the sky makes the environment look impressive.
The fringing reef which houses different marine species especially the crabs appears close to shore and exposed during low tide.
Tourists at this beautiful park can enjoy snorkelling, reef walk and swimming in warm water.
Nature conservation is highly valued. While in Water always remember Do Not Step On Corals
